About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UI/Visual Designer to join our UX Team at AJ Bell Business Solutions Limited. As a key member of our design team, you will play a prominent role in shaping the visual look and feel of our award-winning platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Leadership: Provide senior-level design expertise and take UX responsibility for the visual design of our App.
  • Creativity: Demonstrate expertise in creating seamless user experiences specifically for Apps, with a deep understanding of interaction design and how to craft delightful mobile experiences.
  • App Focused: Design UI elements for App/mobile across iOS and Android, with a strong understanding of user psychology and accessibility expertise.
  • Design Systems: Create and maintain components in a Figma library, contributing to the development of our new design guidelines and component libraries.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with executive and cross-functional teams to build and nurture team collaboration, and make informed and strategic decisions in the design process.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate design ideas, rationales, and strategies clearly and persuasively to various audiences.
  • UX Advocacy: Advocate for UX in the wider business, identifying opportunities to showcase UX and contribute to weekly UX Critique sessions.
Requirements
  • Naturally creative and confident communicator.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Passionate about UX and design, with a minimum of 5 years experience in a UX/UI role.
  • Expert in prototyping software (Figma) and deep understanding of user psychology.
  • Accessibility expertise and experience in guiding junior members of the team.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
