About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Scientist to join our AI for Quantum team at Quantinuum. As a key member of our team, you will design and develop machine learning experiments, collaborate with engineers and quantum computing scientists, and lead the development of tools and frameworks applying AI techniques to quantum computing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and Development: Conduct research on novel use cases of machine learning and AI for quantum program synthesis, and discover high-impact problems that Quantinuum can uniquely solve.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with our engineering team, product management, and other architects to ensure seamless integration of AI and quantum computing solutions.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Attend and speak at relevant scientific, technical, and industry conferences to share our expertise and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience in applied AI for scientific problems, familiarity with quantum computing, and knowledge of literature regarding quantum advantage.
Desirable Skills
  • Quantum Computing: Familiarity with quantum computing concepts, or a related field such as quantum many-body physics.
  • Large-Scale Machine Learning: Experience in large-scale machine learning, including large language models and reinforcement learning.
  • High-Performance Computing: Experience leveraging high-performance computing, including distributed multi-node and multi-GPU platforms.
