Job Title - Industrial Electrical Technician

Salary - £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

Location - Lancaster

Contract - Fulltime, Permanent Position

Hours - Continental Shift (2 days 2 nights 4 off) 7:00am - 7:00pm

Role Overview

The Industrial Electrical Technician is responsible for delivering scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance services to ensure optimal performance and availability of factory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and planned maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Respond to emergency and unscheduled repair needs during unexpected equipment failures.
  • Repair and maintain electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including changing contacts and inspecting motors.
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Diagnose electrical issues, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Install and replace cables and conduits for machinery.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems is advantageous but not mandatory.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, particularly in preventative maintenance.
  • A formal qualification in Electrical Engineering, such as NVQ Level 3, C&G Level 3, HNC, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with industrial plant and process equipment is essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in a continuous process environment.
