Design Manager / Senior Design Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager / Senior Design Manager to join our team at Randstad CPE. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design process and ensuring that all design variables are accurate and complete.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of client requirements and output specifications.
  2. Collaborate with the Pre-construction manager to ensure pricing assumptions are consistent with design development.
  3. Monitor design progress and ensure the accuracy and completeness of design variables at each stage of the design development process.
  4. Appoint and manage resources for coordination.
  5. Prepare monthly reports for Design Leads.
  6. Ensure design compliance, build ability, and efficiency, and support the bid process.
  7. Lead the sign-off of documents to the correct status.
  8. Develop and validate the Design Management Plan (DMP).
  9. Establish and maintain the Project's Document Management Procedure.
  10. Manage the flow of design information and document control.
  11. Support the procurement and commercial teams.
  12. Represent the company at Client/User/Local Authority and other stakeholder meetings.
  13. Coordinate technical input to develop a robust design.
  14. Manage the Environmental Certification Process (BREEAM / CFSH).
  15. Manage the Design Transfer from preconstruction to construction.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of design management principles and practices. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
