We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Graduate Civil Design Engineer to join our team at Manpower UK. As a Graduate Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the production of designs and specifications for the engineering development of civil designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production of designs and specifications for the engineering development of civil designs.
  • Perform design calculations, such as foundation designs, using relevant tools and software.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and maintain accurate records for project audits.
  • Collaborate with technical and commercial project management on time schedules and project costs.
  • Provide input to Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) design drawings.
  • Support the selection and development of design options, preparing reports and documents as needed.
  • Work closely with other engineering disciplines to manage project interfaces.
  • Implement a "safe by design" approach on all projects.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Engineering (Civil or related).
  • A willingness to develop within a technical design role and support team efforts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a wider team.
  • An organised, methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and safety regulations, including CDM (Construction Design and Management) Regulations.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Computer literacy, with experience in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.
  • Flexibility to travel to different project locations when required.
