Trusts and Foundations Officer

We are seeking a skilled Trusts and Foundations Officer to join our Development team at the British Library. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in securing funding for our transformational projects, including conservation, exhibitions, learning programmes, and digitisation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies for trusts and foundations
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior foundation staff and trustees
  • Collaborate with the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager, Head of Trusts and Foundations, and Development Director to devise compelling fundraising proposals
  • Manage records on our database and invitation lists, and assist with visits and events

Requirements:

  • Confident individual with demonstrable experience of trusts fundraising
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Collaborative, determined, open, and honest approach
