We are seeking a skilled Trusts and Foundations Officer to join our Development team at the British Library. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in growing and maximizing income from trusts, foundations, and statutory sources.

As a Trusts and Foundations Officer, you will be responsible for devising compelling fundraising proposals, securing funding, and developing cultivation and stewardship plans. You will work closely with the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager, the Head of Trusts and Foundations, and colleagues across the organization to achieve our fundraising goals.

You will also support the Trusts team's stewardship plans by managing records on our database and invitation lists, and helping organize and assist with visits and events.

We are looking for a confident individual with demonstrable experience of trusts fundraising, including excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. A collaborative, determined, open, and honest approach to align with the Library's values and purposes will be vital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure income from trusts, foundations, and statutory sources
  • Collaborate with the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager and other team members to devise compelling fundraising proposals and secure funding
  • Manage records on our database and invitation lists to support the Trusts team's stewardship plans
  • Assist with visits and events to cultivate and steward relationships with trusts and foundations
