We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Police Officer to join our Covert Operations Unit as a Cover Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the unit in providing professional advice, operational support, and guidance to the region's constituent forces in respect of all relevant operations.

The post holder will work in a team to investigate serious and organised crime within the South East Region and surrounding areas, participating in undercover policing operations both physically and online. They will be required to comply with the undercover Authorised Professional Practice (APP) and will be provided with nationally accredited training and support to meet the necessary legislative and practical requirements of the role.

The successful candidate will be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. They will need to hold a full UK driving licence and be flexible to work additional hours as per operational requirements.

The role requires the post holder to have knowledge of online serious crime investigation and the ability to assimilate large amounts of information. They will be required to impart relevant information, particularly around Threat, Risk & Harm, to SIOs and/or supervisors within the COU.
