Job Summary
Ubique Systems is seeking a highly skilled Rail Network & Telecoms Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing technical solutions that meet our budgetary, program, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative design solutions based on sound engineering principles, ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop design philosophies and engineering solutions, from feasibility to detailed design.
- Contribute to the development of construction methodologies and attend site inspections as required.
- Design and check telecoms engineering solutions, ensuring they meet current standards and best practices.
- Produce clear, consistent, and referenced calculations, reports, and sketches, adhering to current CoP, standards, and best practices.
- Communicate design philosophy and requirements effectively with team members.
- Work within the principles of BIM, where applicable, and attend design team meetings with the project delivery team and external stakeholders.
- Assist in process improvements and design tool development to enhance efficient delivery of engineering services.
- Understand and appreciate the team's financial, quality, and program targets.
- Promote safe working practices and a culture of excellence in design and engineering, exceeding customer expectations.
- Experience and knowledge of project engineering processes, covering development, design, construction, test, commissioning, and handback.
