Job Description

Windsor Forest Colleges is seeking a highly committed and experienced safeguarding practitioner to join our team as a Deputy Safeguarding Lead - Student Welfare. This is a full-time position based at Langley, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Provide advice and support to staff on student welfare and child protection matters
  • Liaise with external agencies, including local authorities, CAMHS, and police, to ensure effective safeguarding practices
  • Make referrals to external agencies as necessary, including Child and Adult Social Services, Police, and external counselling services
  • Participate in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings to ensure effective safeguarding practices
Requirements
  • Education or children's services background
  • Experience in safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, students, and external agencies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
