Deputy Nursery Manager Job Description

KiddyKare Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join their team in Slough. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and a passion for leading and managing a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a small team, motivating them with a shared sense of direction, pride, and energy.
  • Help the Manager with day-to-day planning and managing the setting.
  • Ensure that the setting's procedures on child protection are adhered to, liaising with the Safeguarding Officers, Area Manager, and Directors as well as the LSCB as required.
  • Ensure that all individual records of all the children's educational developmental progress are kept, based on day-to-day observations.
  • Provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children placed in the setting.

Person Specification:

  • A Full and Relevant childcare qualification.
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding and EYFS.
  • First aid, Basic food hygiene, and safeguard training desirable.
  • 2 years experience in an Early Years Room Lead or above position.
