We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Caretaker Level 3 to join our team at Manchester City Council. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and security of our buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our staff, pupils, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Premises Management: You will be responsible for the maintenance and security of our buildings and grounds, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Team Management: You will have management responsibility for a team of staff, working together to ensure a welcoming, safe, and secure environment for all.
  • Health and Safety: You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with current health and safety legislation.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: You will be responsible for undertaking routine maintenance, including painting, decorating, DIY, and general repairs.
  • Emergency Response: You will be expected to attend to emergencies outside of school hours, therefore a full driving license would be desirable.
Requirements
  • Good Communication Skills: You should be able to relate well to children, staff, and visitors, being able to interact with them in a friendly, positive, and professional manner.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a Site/Facilities Manager is desirable.
  • ICT, Literacy, and Numeracy Skills: You should be able to demonstrate good ICT, literacy, and numeracy skills for accurate record keeping.
