About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional to contribute to the continued development of a successful and thriving finance team in a fast-paced and exciting industry.
Key Responsibilities- Manage certain finance-related activities and reports to the EMEA Financial Controller based in Oxford, UK.
- Assist in closing month-end management accounts for your assigned group in line with required governance frameworks and timelines.
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts, and Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ledgers, and support the AP/AR clerks in their work activities.
- Ensure transactions are recorded in line with local accounting laws and regulations.
- Assist with year-end audit activities.
- Support the commercial finance teams to understand the status of projects to ensure that revenue is recognized appropriately.
- Maintain the subscriptions database for the office to ensure that revenue is recognized appropriately, and customers are invoiced in a timely manner.
- Provide analysis on topics relating to finance matters for the Managing Director and Office Manager as required.
- Ensure the processing of purchase invoices and staff expenses is complete and timely.
- Maintain Purchasing approval matrices and deliver any ERP changes required.
- Develop and implement ideas to optimize financial processes.
- Involvement in the enhancements required to the ERP system which was implemented in 2023.
- Support the Group Finance team with all necessary tasks.
- And other business-related ad-hoc projects.
We are looking for a qualified accountant with a can-do attitude, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver high-quality results. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize and effectively manage expectations across multiple internal stakeholders.
Desired ExperienceAdvisory/Consulting/Legal or Subscriptions based industry experience is desirable.
