Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Shift Technician to join our team at Oracle. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for delivering technical support and installations, including break-fix tasks, hardware, network, cabling, and rack deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide timely and effective technical support to internal customers, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  2. Collaborate closely with other technical and non-technical teams to ensure seamless delivery of technical services.
  3. Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware and software.
  4. Support the deployment of on-site data center physical infrastructure, including structured cabling installation.
  5. Install, replace, and troubleshoot cables and hardware to ensure optimal system performance.
  6. Work within a ticket-based environment, prioritizing ticketing queues, resolving escalations, and clearing blocking issues to enable continued delivery of technical activities.
  7. Adhere to internal policies and service level agreements, including OCI Change Management rules.
  8. Perform system board level repair and fault diagnosis to meet service level agreements.
  9. Utilize provided tools for proper and timely internal reporting.
  10. Plan and commission new rack positions to ensure efficient data center operations.
  11. Contribute to the design and commissioning of new whitespaces to meet business requirements.
  12. Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve common goals.
  13. Maintain a strong understanding of fibre and copper cabling to ensure optimal data center infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • 7x24-hours commitment to participate in the regional standby rotation program and shifts.
  • Ability to reach the data center site within 60 minutes.
  • Driving license required.
