Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented General Maintenance Technician to join our team at Wood. As a General Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our site, including groundskeeping, tanker drainage, and collection of petroleum samples.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the site's grounds, including weeding, litter picking, and sweeping.
• Drain nominally empty road tanker compartments, handling products such as Petrol, Diesel, and Ethanol.
• Keep the site storage building tidy, organized, and safe.
• Assist the site electrician and site fitter with tasks such as drain-down of product from pipework, help with isolations, cable pulling, and any two-person task as required.
• Scale site storage tanks via 15m run of steps, performing risk assessments as necessary.
• Use a diesel-powered power washer to work on road tanker loading gantry and across site.
• Mow the site and site perimeter grass, adjacent to the highway.
• Collect ethanol samples from road tanker compartments, perform tests, and report results.
• Assist with ethanol offload to storage tanks by supervising tanker drivers.

Requirements

• Ensure unsafe work is stopped immediately.
• Complete required competency training programs.
• Adopt a flexible working attitude to provide support across all departments.
