About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Capability Scotland. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with learning and physical disabilities to live a fulfilling life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to the individual, including assistance with daily living tasks and mobility.
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the individual, built on trust, respect, and open communication.
- Work collaboratively with the individual's family and other support staff to ensure a consistent and high-quality support service.
- Assist the individual in accessing community resources and activities, promoting independence and social inclusion.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the individual's support plan, ensuring their needs and goals are met.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with learning and physical disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and respect for the individual.
