Lead Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Therapist to join our Children in Care team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist clinical services to looked after children, young people, and their carers.

• Provide comprehensive assessments of mental health needs and implement therapeutic programs of care.
• Manage a clinical caseload, acting as key worker if appropriate.
• Contribute to service planning, development, and client care.
• Act as an advanced source of knowledge for consultation, supervision, and training of junior staff and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with Record Keeping Policies.

• Professional qualification in a mental health-related subject (e.g., Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, CBT Therapist, Social Worker, or equivalent).
• Degree/equivalent experience in CAMH-related field.
• Demonstrates assessment, risk assessment, and care planning skills.
• Demonstrates experience of working in child and adolescent mental health and with looked after children.
• Demonstrates post-qualification experience of care coordination and management of complex CAMH caseloads.
