Role Summary
As a Building Management Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with Mitie's Operational Mechanical and Electrical team at a large, multi-structure site. The Trend BMS installed across the premises encompasses various generations, so familiarity with systems ranging from IQ2s to the latest versions, including IQvision and 963, is essential.
Applicants should possess relevant qualifications and hands-on experience with the Trend Building Management System, demonstrating proficiency in troubleshooting. A solid technical foundation in networking, HVAC systems, and applications, along with electrical qualifications, is required.
Key Responsibilities: Driving Efficiency
In your role as a BMS Engineer, you will be instrumental in enhancing building system performance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Responsive Maintenance: Quickly resolve system issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Strategic Input: Work in tandem with site management to develop BMS strategies, collaborating closely with site operations and clients to address any maintenance needs.
- Minor Projects, Major Impact: Conduct assessments, recommend enhancements, and provide estimates for small-scale projects as necessary.
- BMS Improvements: Identify and implement opportunities for system upgrades to enhance site performance.
- Project Management: Oversee larger projects when required, seeking to expand your expertise in Trend and Tridium through integration and engineering tasks.
- Control Strategy Design: Develop effective control strategies for optimal system performance.
- Commitment to Sustainability: Support Mitie's Plan Zero initiative and contribute to service line opportunities.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Uphold health and safety standards at all times.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience equivalent to the Trend Expert competency level, with the capability to confidently modify software and schematics for 963 and IQVision. Familiarity with earlier generation Trend controllers is crucial.
Proficiency in utilizing the Trend SET (Software Engineering Tool) is expected.
