Job Title: BMS Systems Engineer

Job Description:

DCT Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled BMS Systems Engineer to join our client's team in the Shotton Paper Mill Project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage subcontractors to ensure works are completed in line with project documentation.
  • Review shop drawings and coordinate with other departments to ensure full functionality of the system.
  • Coordinate material flow as per site schedule.
  • Supervise installation of BMS hardware and software, ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
  • Supervise system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the commissioning phase.
  • Coordinate project documentation, including as-built drawings and operation manuals.
  • Work closely with construction manager, contractors, and other related departments, attending project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and prepare required reports.
  • Ensure all BMS installations comply with relevant health and safety regulations and stay updated on changes in building codes and BMS technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering) would be preferable.
  • Membership in professional bodies such as the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) or the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) would be preferable.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, lighting controls, and energy management systems.
  • Previous experience 5-8 years in building management systems.
  • Experience working on construction sites and understanding site safety practices.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
  • CSCS site qualification.
