About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Whitecliffs, a Residential Service supporting individuals with learning and physical disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling our service users to lead fulfilling lives, promoting their independence, and providing person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the implementation of individual support plans and activities, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
  • Maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and other stakeholders, respecting confidentiality and promoting positive relationships.
  • Support service users with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, laundry, and social events, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Accurately record and maintain notes and records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to provide high-quality care, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience in supporting adults with challenging behavior, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence to work independently or as part of a team, promoting a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Passion for working with vulnerable adults, promoting their dignity, respect, and well-being.
  • Commitment to achieving high standards of safeguarding, ensuring the safety and protection of service users.
