**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Food and Health Safety professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be based at Trafford Park, Manchester, providing support to our other locations. The role requires significant travel to meet business requirements within the UK and Ireland.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Develop and implement safety compliance standards to ensure minimum legal compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
* Audit all areas of operations, including aviation and rail.
* Conduct investigations and ensure necessary actions are taken and communicated.
* Analyze results of audits and complaints, highlighting trends to identify problem areas.
* Liaise with legal departments, legislative authorities, third parties, and customers.
* Oversee and support the business with new initiatives and projects.
* Manage food information systems.
* Produce and provide reports to Corporate, UK and Ireland, and Unit Management.
* Support unit activities and facilitate a best practice approach to problem solving and improvement initiatives.
* Significant travel within the UK and Ireland.

**Requirements:**

* Education: Ideally educated to a degree level or equivalent in Food Safety and/or Health and Safety.
* Health and Safety Management Certificate (NEBOSH or Equivalent) preferred.
* Work Experience: Demonstrable management experience, preferably within the aviation industry or food industry.
* Good understanding of Food / Health and Safety legislation / HACCP and how they are enforced.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
* All successful candidates must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and provide 5 years referencing history.
