**Job Summary**

Spencer Clarke Group is seeking a highly skilled Homelessness Prevention Adviser to join our team in North London. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and support to vulnerable individuals and households at risk of homelessness.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Deliver tailored advice on housing options, welfare benefits, debt management, and employment opportunities to customers at risk of homelessness.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, maintaining accurate records and meeting performance targets.
  • Prevent homelessness through negotiation, mediation, or securing alternative housing solutions.
  • Provide advice through drop-in services, telephone, outreach sessions, and home visits when necessary.
  • Assist customers with housing applications and guide them through bidding processes for permanent housing.

**Requirements:**

  • Experience working in a housing advice, homelessness prevention, or related service.
  • Proven ability to manage a varied caseload, including landlord/tenant disputes, welfare rights, and homelessness.
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals or households at risk of homelessness.
  • Knowledge of the public and private housing sectors and the options available for those in housing need.

**What We Offer:**

  • Competitive hourly rate of £20+ph.
  • Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.
