About the Role

Aveva is a global leader in industrial software, and we're seeking a skilled HRIS Manager to join our team in London. As a key member of our People Technology Delivery Team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Workday system.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the People Technology Delivery Team, ensuring timely delivery of projects and tasks.
  • Oversee key People Technology processes, including Workday change request management, ticket escalations, and governance.
  • Provide 3rd line support via Service Now, escalating issues as necessary and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Offer Workday functional guidance and support to the People Technology team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our AMS provider, raising cases as needed to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Lead functional configuration changes and projects, leveraging advanced knowledge of people technology and process.
  • Act as an expert advisor on People Technology delivery and project work, providing guidance and support to the team.
  • Identify potential system issues and work with People Technology Partners and GPOs to implement measures to address them.
  • Partner with Global Process Owners to ensure the team is using technology effectively and has the necessary support.
  • Recommend system enhancements and ensure we're maximizing the capability of existing technology.
  • Oversee the proper use of People technologies, providing support, advice, and training on best practices to HR colleagues.
  • Represent the People Technology team on HR projects, interpreting requirements, suggesting solutions, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, particularly HR CoEs and HR Services teams.
  • Participate actively in the Workday Community, proposing and advocating for improvements to the Workday solution and sharing best practices with peers.
  • Handle sensitive data with care, ensuring all necessary security measures are taken in accordance with GDPR regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant experience in a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Workday technology within a global organization.
  • Ability to deal with complex problems and come up with effective solutions.
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to lead conversations with external vendors.
  • Flexibility to work in a global team across multiple time zones.
  • Strong planning and project management skills, with the ability to manage time well and prioritize tasks.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate across cultures at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of data protection regulations, including GDPR.
