About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager to join our client's team of project management professionals delivering real estate projects in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing all services relating to project management for real estate construction projects within Birmingham.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate project activities, ensuring good communication and adherence to governance processes from the pre-construction stages through to completion and handover.
  • Client Satisfaction: Understand, anticipate, inform and deliver great outcomes for clients, every time, everywhere.
  • Project Delivery: Drive exceptional delivery, health & safety, commercial, risk management and quality performance on infrastructure projects throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Accountabilities
  • Project Governance: Establish effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout the project.
  • Project Planning: Produce a detailed project plan, including identifying and ensuring that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
  • Resource Procurement: Advise upon the procurement of resources.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and facilitate the overall cross-functional project team.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and apply performance management techniques.
  • Change Control: Manage the change control process.
  • Project Finances: Monitor and advise upon project finances.
  • Communication: Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Reporting: Prepare formal project progress and other reports.
  • Client Interface: Take a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
Requirements
  • Experience: A proven track record in a consultancy or developer environment.
  • Qualifications: A construction related degree or a similar construction related qualification with extensive technical delivery experience in a similar role gained within a consultancy or developer.
  • Skills: Well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
