Team LeadershipThe Director of Event Sales will lead, mentor, and motivate the event sales team to achieve individual and team sales goals. This will involve building strong relationships with key clients, sponsors, and partners to ensure long-term collaboration and satisfaction.
Market AnalysisThe successful candidate will conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscape. This will inform the development of effective sales campaigns, including outreach, presentations, and negotiations.
Sales CampaignsThe Director of Event Sales will design and execute effective sales campaigns to drive revenue growth through sponsorship sales, exhibitor sales, and ticket sales for tech events. This will involve working closely with the marketing, operations, and content teams to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional attendee experience.
ReportingThe successful candidate will provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to senior management. This will inform business decisions and drive growth.
Requirements- Minimum of 7 years of experience in event sales, with a focus on tech events preferred
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to grow, inspire and lead a high-performing sales team
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- In-depth knowledge of the tech industry and its key players
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, sponsors, and partners
