We are seeking a skilled Pension Administrator to join our team at Legal & General Group. As a Pension Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the maintenance of scheme data and administering and updating individual member records.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide an efficient administration and claims service to individual scheme members and intermediaries, ensuring that customers are quoted and paid in line with the benefit specification and current legislation.
  2. Draft and issue clear and concise communication to both members and 3rd party intermediaries regarding Defined Benefit Pension scheme benefits, ensuring that L&G is acting in line with current legislation.
  3. Responsible for the checking of and authorising the payment of Defined Benefits claims, ensuring that the correct benefit calculations are accurate and settled.
  4. Act as technical expert for the team, providing guidance and support on sensitive or priority schemes, and interpreting and keeping up to date with current pensions legislation and HMRC practice.
  5. Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed for all processes and that a full audit trail exists on the activities carried out to meet regulatory and internal compliance.
Requirements:
  1. Pension Qualification such as CII or PMI or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  2. Understanding of defined benefit pension schemes.
