Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset towards security, seamlessly integrating into a team that upholds exceptional standards while delivering comprehensive Security Static and Mobile Guarding services across various properties and their surrounding areas.


Work Schedule:
This role requires flexibility, with shifts spanning both day and night on a 21-day rolling roster: 3 days followed by 4 nights on, then 3 days off, followed by 4 days and 3 nights on, concluding with 4 days off, totaling 56 hours per week in a permanent, full-time capacity.


Key Responsibilities:
This position encompasses a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

  • Adhere to the established Code of Practice and operational procedures consistently, with breaches leading to disciplinary measures.
  • Implement protocols for the security of the CCTV Control Room and its associated facilities.
  • Promptly report any incidents to law enforcement or relevant agencies, providing necessary support and commentary.
  • Maintain precise records of data recordings and events.
  • Serve as the initial responder to intruder alarm activations.
  • Compile written reports on all incidents related to crime and disorder.
  • Foster close communication with law enforcement and relevant authorities.
  • Exhibit outstanding communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ensure the safety of all customers and staff members.
  • Operate and oversee CCTV systems, managing access control in accordance with client specifications.
  • Dispatch security personnel as necessary via telephone, radio, or messenger.
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle challenging situations and thrive in a demanding environment.
  • Possess excellent communication and customer service skills, maintaining attention to detail while remaining calm and professional.
  • Engage daily with staff, clients, and operational management teams.
  • Verify and manage access control to authorized areas.
  • Ensure accountability for first aid equipment.
  • Coordinate with contractors as needed.
  • Conduct site inductions for new staff and/or contractors.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and public bodies to ensure a unified approach and awareness of local issues.
  • Handle communications from telephone calls and radio users professionally, adhering to operational procedures.
  • Maintain composure under pressure, making decisive decisions during incidents.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with all client departments.
  • Work independently and take initiative.
  • Be knowledgeable about all statutory compliance processes and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to all OCS policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain regular contact with customer representatives and attend meetings/toolbox talks as directed.
  • Conduct internal and external patrols, capable of long periods of standing.
  • Adapt to all weather conditions while performing duties.
  • Occasionally engage in manual handling tasks as required on-site.
  • Exhibit exemplary personal grooming standards, strictly following uniform requirements.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to assist visitors and staff at the building.
  • Effectively manage emergencies, including fire and bomb threats, keeping the management team informed.
  • Possess an intelligent understanding of human behavior, monitoring and documenting suspicious activities in line with site and company policies.
  • Maintain vigilance to prevent unauthorized access by banned individuals.
  • Be familiar with the Company's Health and Safety Policy and perform duties accordingly.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required to meet business needs.

Candidate Profile:
  • Possession of Security Industry Qualifications.
  • Frontline SIA/CCTV License for Security Officers.
  • Experience in managing a Security Control Room.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional customer relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to deliver high-quality guarding and outstanding customer service.
  • Exude a welcoming demeanor that reflects the 'five-star' experience of the building and the client.
  • Professional conduct with sound judgment and integrity.
  • All candidates offered employment will undergo a criminal record check (Disclosure) from the Criminal Records Bureau prior to appointment confirmation.
  • Understanding of basic procedures of Police and other Emergency Services.
  • Familiarity with the phonetic alphabet.
  • Experience with handheld radio communication.
  • Future SIA/CCTV licenses to be funded by the officer.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism at all times.
  • Resilient approach to security duties.
