Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Special Events Officer to join our Philanthropy and Partnerships department. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing a comprehensive events program that engages supporters and drives fundraising efforts for our Stop MS Appeal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Special Events Manager to design and deliver a first-class events program, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for supporters.
  • Oversee event management, including venue selection, catering, and logistics.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers to ensure high-quality services and products.
  • Work closely with senior volunteers to scope, plan, and execute events.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with cross-departmental teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event planning and management, preferably in a non-profit or charity setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Knowledge of MS and its impact on individuals and communities, or a willingness to learn and understand the organization's mission and values.
