Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Psychologist Assistant to join our team at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our acute mental health services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological care to patients admitted to our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
  • Work independently to develop and implement treatment plans, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Conduct protocol-based psychological assessments, including neuropsychological tests and semi-structured interviews.
  • Assist in the formulation and delivery of patient care, including the psychological treatment and management of patient problems.
  • Contribute to the coordination and running of therapeutic groups, as required.
  • Prepare psychology reports, as necessary.
  • Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of psychological principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
