Job Summary:
Belmont Recruitment is seeking an experienced Prison Substance Misuse Nurse to work in a prison in Greater London. As a Band 6 nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing healthcare services to inmates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold a caseload of service users and provide a range of interventions to support their treatment and recovery.
- Offer BBV's, wound care, vital signs, phlebotomy, and ECG's as required.
- Carry out alcohol and drug detox, supported by a specialist recovery nurse, using appropriate AUDIT and withdrawal scales.
- Ensure all interventions are carried out in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to relevant legislations and laws.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS
- Prison Vetting
Working Arrangements:
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Sunday, 09:00 to 17:00 and 07:30 to 20:00 (pro rata)
- Hourly rates: £30/h (days), £35/h (Saturdays and nights), £40/h (bank holidays and Sundays)
