About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Misuse Nurse to join our team at HMP Thameside, a category B Prison located in Greenwich, South-East London.

In this role, you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients with substance misuse issues.

The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background in substance misuse, with experience in assessment, treatment, and recovery planning.

As a Substance Misuse Nurse, you will be responsible for developing individualized care plans, conducting comprehensive assessments, and initiating and reviewing recovery plans.

You will also have the opportunity to work with a range of patients, including those with complex needs, and contribute to the development of the team's clinical practice.

Requirements
  • Registered nurse with current NMC registration
  • RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake
  • Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge

Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
