Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Digital Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our software applications to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop software applications using a range of programming languages and technologies, including JavaScript and React JS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in daily scrum calls and internal meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration with the wider team.
- Test and debug code to ensure error-free results and maintain high standards of quality.
- Document work in accordance with agreed internal standards, including GUNIT test coverage.
Requirements
- Practical experience working as a developer in an agile team, supporting and developing enterprise-level applications.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and React JS, including JSX, Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, etc.
- Experience with ReactJS workflows like Flux, Redux, Create React App, data structure libraries.
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Java/JVM languages are advantageous.
- Knowledge of a Test-driven approach, including exposure to either TDD or BDD.
- Experience of digital products is an advantage.
