Formulation Technician II

- Prepare antimicrobial solutions in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production paperwork, including weighing, dissolution, and dilution.
- Set up and monitor production dispensing pumps to ensure timely and quality production output, including pouring, priming, and weight checks.
- Manufacture various vital ancillary solutions, such as ID media, buffers, and excipients.
- Conduct compliance checks of laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including pipettes, balances, and extractors.
- Maintain and supervise raw material stock levels, including consumables, intermediates, and equipment.
- Support the laboratory by washing and autoclaving equipment, including pumps, glassware, and other items.
- Utilize computer software to process information, including SAP ERP, Microsoft Office, and customized programs.
- Ability to follow SOPs and H&S guidelines.
- Good partnership and interpersonal skills.
- Able to coordinate and prioritize tasks under own initiative.
- Attention to detail when following procedures and keeping manual records.
- Ability to perform sophisticated manual tasks with dexterity.
- Basic digital literacy is beneficial.
- Laboratory or similar experience is an advantage.
- Exposure to a fast-paced high-efficiency manufacturing environment is valuable but not crucial.
- Ideal education to A-level standard or equivalent in a scientific subject.
This role is offered on a 3-week rotating daytime only shift pattern, including one weekend in three. Average 38 hours per week inside the laboratory operating hours of (W1 – M, Tu, F, Sa, Su; W2 – M, W, Th, F; W3 – M, Tu, W, Th, F).
