Service Manager Critical Care Theatres and Anaesthetics

We are seeking an exceptional and experienced Service Manager to join our team at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. This role sits within the theatre, anaesthetic and critical care division within surgery; You will help to deliver a selection of productivity schemes and therefore will have good business management skills coupled with good financial knowledge While we face the same financial and performance pressures as all NHS Trusts, we are undertaking significant projects we would want you to lead on to improve healthcare delivery throughout the division.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the divisional management team to ensure the achievement of performance and other local and national clinical and non-clinical targets.
  • Provide operational management to the service, supervising systems and processes for specific areas.
  • In liaison with the quality and governance leads ensure appropriate systems and processes are established in departments to support the robust reporting and progress of governance, risk and safeguarding issues.
  • Manage designated financial resources within budget and support the General Manager/ in financial management within the Division
  • Support the development of service line reporting and service line management across the division

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop's Stortford, and St Margaret's Hospital in Epping.

We employ 3,500 staff and serve a local population of around 350,000 people living in west Essex and east Hertfordshire, centred on the M11 corridor and the towns of Harlow, Bishop's Stortford and Epping.
