Job Title: Digital Library Assistant

Location: London

Salary: £27,416 to £30,607 per annum inclusive with potential to progress to £32,768 per annum inclusive of London allowance

Employment Type: Full-Time

The Role

The Digital Library Assistant will work with the Digital Library team to manage and make available online the Library's digital collections, particularly those originated from digitisation projects. This includes describing digital assets, arranging for digitisation, uploading them to the Digital Asset Management System, and making them available online.

The post-holder will work with colleagues to assist with the description and management of the Library's extensive and varied digital collections. They will be responsible for maintaining high standards in the management of both physical and digital collections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and describe digital collections, including digitisation and uploading to the Digital Asset Management System
  • Work with colleagues to ensure high standards in the management of digital collections
  • Assist with the development and implementation of digital collection management strategies
  • Provide support for the Digital Library team in the management of digital collections
Requirements

Candidates should have good IT skills, experience working with digital files and their metadata, and the ability to maintain high standards in the management of both physical and digital collections.
