Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team at Build A Rocket Boy. This role involves collaborating closely with C++ engineers within the Unreal environment to develop robust testing frameworks and automation processes, and with other QA and automation teams across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Automated Testing Frameworks: Create and maintain automated testing frameworks and systems to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering Teams: Work with software engineering teams to integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality products.
  • Automate and Streamline Platform Operations: Collaborate with backend and web development teams to automate and streamline platform operations, ensuring scalability and performance under stress.
  • Conduct Load Testing: Help engineering teams conduct load testing to ensure scalability and performance under stress, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality.
  • Improve Testing Strategies and Tools: Continuously improve testing strategies and tools to enhance development efficiency and product quality, ensuring our team stays ahead of the curve.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a software engineer in test or similar role, with a strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Strong Technical Skills: Strong technical skills, including experience with automated testing of web services, APIs, and backend systems, as well as familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Desirable Skills: Knowledge of C++ and Unreal Engine is highly desirable, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team setting and collaborate with various technical teams, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality products.
