Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:

PWS Technical Services (UK) LTD is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for ensuring commercial and contractual control and coordination of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Management: Negotiate subcontract terms, mitigate risks, and maintain dialogue with operational management to provide commercial advice and guidance.
  • Contract Administration: Ensure accurate internal reports of projects, including risk, costs, and profit declaration.
  • Pre-Contract Support: Review and negotiate terms and conditions, assist with tenders, bids, and negotiations to manage and minimize risk.
  • End-to-End Commercial Management: Provide commercial management and contract administration for multiple contracts and projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in a commercial-quantity surveying team within a relevant utilities, power, energy, construction, civil engineering, M&E, or infrastructure environment.
  • Knowledge: Sound working knowledge of construction and contract law, NEC3/4 contracts, tendering and procurement processes, and various construction techniques.
  • Skills: Ability to apply quantity surveying principles to complex schemes, manage contractual relationships, and explain complex contracts to non-commercial teams.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong communication skills, proactive work ethic, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
