Position Overview

JBS Global Resourcing is seeking a Senior Controls and Instrumentation Project Engineer to lead engineering initiatives across various power generation facilities in the UK.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability of energy supply and advancing strategic objectives aimed at facilitating the transition to sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the execution of Controls & Instrumentation (C&I) projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Utilizing extensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain compliance and promote a safe working environment.
  • Applying expertise in complex C&I process systems, including a thorough understanding of current regulations impacting process plant engineering assets.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in project management methodologies to effectively manage multiple contracts and resources.
  • Conducting management, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
  • Utilizing SAP-based systems for project tracking and management.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Higher National Diploma or Degree in a Control & Instrumentation related field.
  • Proven experience in engineering, project management, and maintenance practices.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A full and clean UK driving license.
