Job Description

Role Purpose:

As a Procurement Manager at Laing O'Rourke, you will play a key role in leading and supporting a project/business unit's procurement service, engaging with the supply chain to deliver value and contribute to the company's pursuit of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement procurement plans as directed by the pillar procurement leader/senior procurement lead.
  • Provide market intelligence, cost advice, and supply chain performance management to Central Procurement and Work Winning.
  • Support a team of Procurement professionals, including training and development, staff appraisals, retention and reward, and recruitment.
  • Be responsible and accountable for the Procurement process of subcontractors, materials, plant, and services, in accordance with the Project Procurement Strategy and LOR Values.
  • Monitor markets and provide alternative procurement strategies to maximize opportunities or minimize risk.
  • Champion innovation and propose new methods, materials, products, and systems to increase competitive advantage and cost-effective solutions.
  • Develop knowledge of market requirements to support bids, live projects, and business unit needs.
  • Develop professional, robust, and effective working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.

The successful candidate will have the flexibility to attend project/business locations and meet project and business requirements.
