About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Reporting Analyst to join our team at Western Power. As a key member of our Commercial function, you will play a vital role in driving informed decision-making through the design and development of interactive visual dashboards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop interactive visual dashboards using Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Qlik Sense to translate raw data into user-friendly, insightful dashboards that support strategic decision-making across the Commercial function.
  • Champion system user adoption by providing proactive support and training to ensure users maximize system utilization and unlock its full potential for efficient procurement.
  • Bridge the gap between data and action by translating user needs into actionable insights through insightful dashboards and reports.
  • Play a pivotal role in end-to-end processes by being deeply involved in the entire procurement data journey, from user interaction to insightful reporting.
  • Translate data needs into actionable insights by analyzing stakeholder business data requirements and translating them into tailored reports that drive informed decision-making and strategic action.
  • Empower users through data literacy by providing in-house training and instruction manuals that enhance user proficiency in existing BI tools, unlocking their full potential.
  • Champion impactful metrics by shaping and refining performance metrics that directly measure and boost Commercial performance, driving key business decisions with data-driven insights.
  • Craft compelling monthly reports by developing and sharing insightful monthly performance reports that illuminate critical trends and KPIs, empowering stakeholders across the Commercial function.
  • Foster a culture of safety and engagement by actively contributing to and supporting Safety, Health, Environmental, and community programs, promoting a responsible and sustainable business environment.
About You

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

  • Undergraduate qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance or related discipline.
  • 5 years' experience in performance reporting, strategy development and governance.
  • 2 years Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing and/or contract management experience.
  • Advanced conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Strong influencing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft analytical applications (Excel, Access).
  • Strong task prioritisation skills in addition to good statistical and critical thinking skills.
