About the Role

Job Title: Shop Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our charity shop in Bournemouth. As a Shop Manager, you will be responsible for providing a brilliant shopping experience for our customers, leading a team of staff and volunteers, and achieving financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team that provides exceptional customer service and creates a welcoming shopping environment.
  • Work on the shop floor, coordinating activities, and managing stock and inventory.
  • Design and implement effective store layouts and visual merchandising to drive sales and engagement.
  • Manage staff and volunteers, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure high standards are met.
  • Represent the British Red Cross in a professional manner, embodying our core values and promoting our mission.

Requirements:

  • Proven retail experience at supervisory level, with a track record of delivering outstanding customer service and managing cash handling duties.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with a focus on achieving financial targets and driving sales growth.
  • Strong IT skills, with experience using retail software and systems.
  • Passion for the British Red Cross cause and commitment to promoting our shop in the community.
