Numeracy Intervention Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Secondary SEN School in York. As a Numeracy Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students on a 1:1 basis and in small, mixed-year groups, providing tailored numeracy support to pupils with a range of abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver numeracy intervention support to students with special educational needs
  • Work closely with students on a 1:1 basis and in small, mixed-year groups
  • Provide tailored numeracy support to pupils with a range of abilities
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective numeracy intervention strategies
Requirements:
  • Maths graduates or experienced Teaching Assistants with a background in mathematics
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs or numeracy intervention roles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
