Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team of support staff in schools. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs, providing individualized support and creating a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with SEN in a 1:1 or small group setting, providing tailored support and resources.
  • Assist teachers in preparing classroom materials and resources, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting diversity and equality.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to supporting students with SEN.
  • Relevant qualifications and training, such as a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
