Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Dietitian to join our team at Central London Community Health Trust. As a Paediatric Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in providing expert nutrition and hydration advice to children and young people in Merton.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide effective nutrition and hydration intake for children and young people, including those with feeding tubes.
  • Support and advise parents/carers on maintaining effective nutritional and/or fluid intake for children and young people.
  • Advise on the use of supplements, specialist feeds, and dietary changes, liaising with GPs as necessary.
  • Liaise with manufacturers of nutritional products and collaborate with other professionals to develop enteral feeding regimes.
  • Take the lead for community, special schools, and HEF overview in Merton.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Degree in Dietetics
    • Valid Health and Care Professions Council Registration
    • Postgraduate experience in Paediatric Dietetics
    • Postgraduate experience in Paediatric Home Enteral Feeding
  • Desirable:
    • Membership of the British Dietetic Association
    • Member of Specialist Interest Group related to Paediatrics
    • Supervisory skills training
    • Post-registration training in Behaviour Change
