Job Title: Teaching Assistant BSL

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant / Communications Support Worker to join our team at Rikama Education. The successful candidate will specialize in Communication and Interaction for individuals with Hearing impairment or who are Deaf.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the learning needs of students with Hearing impairment or who are Deaf, aged 16 to 20, and develop strategies to support their access to the curriculum.
  • Work closely with students to identify their communication needs and provide tailored support to ensure their inclusion in the learning process.
  • Collaborate with the school to develop and implement effective communication plans that meet the needs of students with Hearing impairment or who are Deaf.
Requirements:
  • BSL Qualification (Level 1-5)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
