Job Title: Learning Support Assistant BSL

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Rikama Education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with hearing impairments or who are Deaf to access the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the learning needs of students with hearing impairments or who are Deaf and develop strategies to support their access to the curriculum.
  • Work closely with students to identify their individual learning needs and develop personalized support plans.
  • Provide communication support to students with hearing impairments or who are Deaf, including BSL interpretation and note-taking.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure that students with hearing impairments or who are Deaf receive the support they need to succeed.
Requirements:
  • BSL qualification (level 1-5)
  • Experience working with students with hearing impairments or who are Deaf
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
