Instrumentation and Control Engineer

Green Cat Renewables Ltd is a dynamic and innovative company that provides technical services for renewable energy projects. We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our Engineering team in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing control and telecommunications architecture, identifying input and output schedules, and developing control schematics. They will also design and review engineering work packages, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, data sheets, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.

We are looking for a highly skilled engineer with 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering, specializing in communication, control/data acquisition, and electronics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PLC/DCS systems and SCADA servers. They will also be willing to travel when required and have a valid driving license.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems, including PLC/DCS and SCADA servers
  • Produce control and telecommunications architecture
  • Identify input and output schedules and develop control schematics
  • Design and review engineering work packages, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, data sheets, and piping and instrumentation diagrams
  • Work with designers in other disciplines to coordinate designs, specifications, and requirements
