Organizational skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a genuine interest in the role are crucial for success.

This position offers the chance to forge strong relationships across all levels, including with Senior Civil Servants, and to gain visibility within the analytical community.

Key Responsibilities

The primary aim of this role is to assist the analyst recruitment team in delivering a seamless and effective service throughout our analytical community. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing large-scale recruitment initiatives, such as coordinating analyst rotations across the department.
  • Providing tailored guidance to managers on effective vacancy fulfillment strategies.
  • Ensuring adherence to recruitment principles and policies while serving as the initial point of contact for new requests.
  • Supporting colleagues within the broader team, enhancing your understanding of analytical priorities.
  • Building expertise in analyst recruitment and accreditation processes.
  • Facilitating presentations and training sessions for the analytical community.
  • Tracking the current placements of approximately 400 analysts and maintaining communication with those on secondment or leave.
  • Contributing to the allocation of new staff to priority areas in a fair manner.
  • Collaborating across teams and contributing to other business areas with guidance from your line manager.

Our team prides itself on providing a supportive environment, ensuring care and assistance for all colleagues.

Essential Skills and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Resilience and adaptability, with the capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in recruitment, HR, or fast-paced operational roles is advantageous but not mandatory.

Core Behaviors

During the selection process, candidates will be evaluated on the following behaviors:

  • Managing a Quality Service
  • Communicating and Influencing
  • Working Together

Benefits

In addition to a competitive salary, the Department of Health and Social Care offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Learning and development opportunities tailored to your role.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • A culture that promotes inclusion and diversity.
  • A pension scheme with substantial employer contributions.

Your primary workplace will be your contractual location, with options for hybrid working arrangements. The expectation is to spend a minimum of 60% of your working time in the office to foster collaboration and support within the team.

Opportunities for remote work may be available, and flexible working options can be discussed with the hiring manager based on individual circumstances and business needs.
