About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Trials Assistant to support Professor Simon Draper and the clinical lead Dr Angela Minassian in the running of the malaria vaccine research programme at the Department of Biochemistry.

This is an ideal opportunity for an individual who is keen to develop their career in a fast-paced clinical trial/research group working at the cutting edge of translational vaccine research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the clinical lead and other members of the team in the development, coordination, and completion of a portfolio of clinical vaccine studies in Africa and the UK.
  • Contribute to clinical research studies operations and provide administrative support as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of clinical trials.
Requirements
  • Completed education to A-Level (or equivalent) standard, ideally in scientific subjects.
  • Experience of working in an administrative role that requires excellent organization skills and working to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work interactively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Prior experience of clinical trials and working in a clinical/academic environment is desirable.
