Job Title: Academic Planning Manager

At Halfords Group PLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and strategic individual to join our team as an Academic Planning Manager.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing strategies that drive business growth and financial health. This will involve identifying and capitalizing on opportunities, as well as mitigating threats, to ensure the long-term success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver end-to-end business cases for strategic opportunities, including supply assumptions for finance and analysts.
  • Evaluate and implement strategic ideas presented by key stakeholders, ensuring consistency and alignment across the retail and garages function.
  • Design solutions that enable scale and quick market entry, identifying synergies and cross-over opportunities with other initiatives.
  • Present strategic opportunities and business cases to executive and senior stakeholders, communicating complex information simply and effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with internal initiatives and challenges, ensuring a holistic and aligned plan across commercial and customer functions.

Requirements:

  • Background in strategic design and commercial business case development.
  • Able to cut through complexity and get to the heart of the matter with minimal input and coaching.
  • Confident preparation of visually engaging content for executive and senior stakeholders.
  • A creative and innovative mind, with a strategic thinker and futuristic approach.
